Your welcoming physiotherapy clinic in Springwood

Simon Bassingthwaighte

Simon is the director of our clinic and a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience providing a wide range of services in both the public and private health systems. He graduated from the University of Queensland with a degree in Physiotherapy and an honours degree in Science. Prior to completing his physio degree, Simon was employed by the University as a lecturer in functional anatomy.

Simon brings a wealth of experience in sports injury management having worked with athletes and teams in local, national and international competitions. His skills are successfully applied at the junior, senior and masters level. Simon’s professional interests include, Sports Rehabilitation, Musculo-Skeletal Physiotherapy and Biomechanical Assessment and Correction. He is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the sports physiotherapy interest group.

Away from work, Simon enjoys spending time with his family and is keenly involved in the many sporting pursuits of his four children. He likes to keep fit either running or attending the gym and in the perfect world will be found somewhere very cold coming down the side of a mountain on a set of skis.

Louise Bassingthwaighte and Kerryn van Wyk

Louise and Kerryn are the principals of Ability Driving and each are occupational therapists with over 20 years’ experience in their profession. They provide comprehensive on and off road assessments of medical fitness to drive as well driving rehabilitation programs and evaluation and prescription of suitable vehicle modifications. Both Louise and Kerryn are recognised as experts in their field and are among Queensland’s first specialist driver trained occupational therapists. Both have strong involvement in a variety of on research projects designed to enhance their own service provision and to improve clinical standards within their profession.
